TANK ACCESSORIES Activated carbon AC and absorber granules MWF-activated carbon AC is, for specific applications, impregnated activated carbon based on hard coal which is created by activation with steam. Furthermore, our AC products are subject to a special sieving and dedusting, and therefore have excellent characteristics in practical use. Product versions: Special features of all AC products • obtain very good clean gas values • high mechanical hardness • for every application, a specifically calculated throughput until saturation • very good adsorption kinetics • consistently high, tested product quality MWF AC KC10 The activated carbon MWF AC KC10 is used for removing acid-trace substances (e.g. sulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulfide) and for eliminating smells from industrial gases, supply air, and exhaust air. Application fileds: Formic acid, amidosulfonic acid, acetic acid, hydrofluoric acid (aq) hydrofluoric acid, lactic acid, oleum, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid (30%), sulphuric acid, sulphurous acid (5%). Special features AC KC10 • high capacity for acid gas components • usable in oxygen-free gases MWF AC G4A The activated carbon MWF AC G4A is used for removing alkaline-trace substances (e.g. ammonia, amines) and for eliminating smells from industrial gases, supply air, and exhaust air. Application fileds: Ammonia (g), calcium hydroxide, caustic soda (< 30%), triethanolamine. Special features AC G4A • high capacity for acid alkaline trace substances • usable in oxygen-free gases MWF AC G3S The activated carbon MWF AC G3S is used especially for exhaust air purification, odor removal, and compressed air oil extraction. Because of the very good adsorption kinetics even at very short contact times, very good clean gas values can be achieved. It is also used in the liquid phase (e.g. fishkeeping). Application fileds: Acetone, hydrocarbon alginate, toluene, hydrogen peroxide, xylene, odor absorption. The indicator is distributed evenly onto the activated carbon as a thin layer. In case of saturation, the granule discolors for acid from blue to yellow, and for lye from blue to red.
